How I Became A Healer

I first started my Healing training with The Healing Trust in 2013 in Scotland. I'd just attended a healing for horses weekend in north Cumbria led by Margrit Coates. It was an amazing weekend, I learned so much! 

I felt the energy doing healing on horses with Margrits guidance, I could see auras and lights on the horses bodies, feel heat and cold coming off their bodies, and was blown away by the fact we can channel energy from source to help heal.

 I made life long friends that weekend. I also met the most beautiful Friesian Mare called Molly never thinking that one day I'd own her! It was an unforgettable experience that led me to join The Healing Trust and start healing training with them.

I wanted a solid foundation with an acredited body to train with.  I did parts 1, 2 & 3 in Scotland with some experience observing healing sessions at Borders General Hospital. Then life got in the way! 

 I'm also an artist and own an equestrian/pet feed store, so that took over.

I was also was a carer for my mother Rita along side my sister Sandy, we cherished caring for her till she passed away in 2016. I also got married hence the different names on my training certificates.

 I've always kept an interest in healing and in 2020, I restarted my training with The Healing Trust. I passed parts 1 & 2 again along with Part 4. I finally did my 4 case studies and passed my final panel assessment in October 2025. I'm now a fully qualified Healer Member with The Healing Trust.

The Healing Trust is the first ever national organisation of Healers, and based in the UK,  It's always been at the forefront of the Healing movement since 1954.

They have helped inaugurate professional standards in healing, and the organisations to uphold them. The Healing Trust is a UK based charity with members in 19 countries. They are devoted to training Healers, with a strict code of conduct and values, promoting Healing worldwide.  They have 19 Healing Centres in the UK, staffed by volunteer healers. 

 Their fully Accredited, two year Training Programme equips you to work competently with the general public and animals. Training demands not only competence in the practice of Healing and care  of the client, but also importantly, personal development of the  Healer. Healers need to be clear channels for the spiritual energy to flow freely from the Source, through the healer to the recipient. All students need to complete and put in place protocols for the safety of the Healer and Clients.

 Energy Healing is a holistic treatment, working on body, emotions, mind, and spirit, to assist in the restoration of health and wellbeing, when training to become a Healer, Students must examine each of those aspects in themselves.
